Description

This prime piece of land is located between the Liberia Guanacaste Airport (LIR) and Costa Rica’s second largest city, Liberia on Highway 21.  The lot measures over 132,000 m2 (>32 acres) and has over 275m (>900ft) of road frontage along the highway.  The airport is only 6 km away while the city of Liberia is only 4km away through which the Pan-American Highway #1 runs.

The growth of the area is unprecedented. In 2023, Liberia Guanacaste Airport (LIR) saw a significant number of passengers and has surpassed pre-pandemic numbers. The total number of passengers who landed at LIR was approximately 1,392,700. This number reflects the continued popularity of the Guanacaste region as a major tourist destination in Costa Rica, known for its beautiful beaches, national parks, and eco-friendly resorts. As of March 2024, a $36 million project will rehabilitate the runway, including repairs, waterproofing, and drainage system improvements. This renovation is designed to accommodate the increasing air traffic and larger aircraft expected over the next decade.

As of 2023, the population of Liberia, Costa Rica, is approximately 80,130. This city continues to grow significantly and serves as a major hub for tourism and commerce in the region.
